This team represents a collaboration between 3 partners (TMcH, PDB & SW) who have established expertise in in vitro testing of anti-mycobacterial compounds using both microbiological and cell culture methodologies, complimented by expertise in use of molecular tools to detect and quantify mycobacteria in vitro and in vivo. We have established novel quantitative tools to monitor therapy and explore the transcriptome and genome of mycobacteria both in vitro and from clinical samples (WPs 1&3).
