The University of Liverpool is a member of the Russell group representing the UKs leading research universities. The Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology hosts the unique MRC centre for Drug Safety Science and the Uks only Centre for Personalised medicine and collaborates closely with the National Insitute for Health Research Biomedical Research Center for Infection. The infection pharmacology group has a world-leading track record in the field of HIV and more recently tuberculosis, hosting the internationally-recognised resource HIV Drug Interactions). and the infectious diseases pharmacometrics group (IDPG). The IDPG benefits from close interactions with bioanalysts, experimenters and clinicians within the department and at LSTM, particularly the Cochrane Infectious Diseases group.
